I usually make them with chocolate chips, but other options would be good as well. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Oatmeal Cookies<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>2&nbsp;cups&nbsp;all-purpose flour<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1&nbsp;teaspoon&nbsp;baking soda<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1&nbsp;teaspoon&nbsp;salt<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1&nbsp;cup&nbsp;unsalted butter, softened<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1&nbsp;cup&nbsp;white sugar<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1&nbsp;cup&nbsp;packed brown sugar<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2&nbsp;large&nbsp;eggs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1&nbsp;teaspoon&nbsp;vanilla extract<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>3\u00a0cups\u00a0quick cooking oats<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Combine the dry ingredients, and set aside. In a separate bowl, beat the butter and sugar. Beat in the eggs and vanilla. Add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, then stir in the oats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Chill for at least an hour to reduce spreading<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bake at 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) about 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the centers are nearly set. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>These are my current favorite cookies to make.
