I’ve been meaning to make pancake mix for quite some time now, but I found a mix in the grocery store that we liked well enough, and that didn’t stray too far from our standards, so we started buying it. And just kept buying it, until I got fed up with the cost of it. Nearly $9 for a small package. I haven’t calculated the cost of this mix, but it’s nowhere near $9, has no weird ingredients and makes several times more than the small package we had been buying.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I used all whole wheat flour, and it worked well, but if you prefer, you can use part whole wheat, part all purpose\/plain flour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Whole Wheat Pancake Mix<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n 4 cups Whole Wheat flour<\/p>\n\n\n\n 1\/4 cup sugar<\/p>\n\n\n\n 1 1\/4 tablespoon baking powder<\/p>\n\n\n\n 2 teaspoons baking soda<\/p>\n\n\n\n 2 teaspoons salt<\/p>\n\n\n\n Mix well and store in an airtight container<\/p>\n\n\n\n To use: mix 1 cup of pancake mix with one egg, 1 cup milk and 2 tablespoons melted butter. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Cook and serve as usual.<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" I’ve been meaning to make pancake mix for quite some time now, but I found a mix in the grocery store that we liked well enough, and that didn’t stray too far from our standards, so we started buying it.
